As the year drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the incredible journey that was 2024.
It’s been a year of growth, learning, and so many “aha” moments that have shaped both my mindset and my business. And it deffo hasn’t been easy!
If you’re an entrepreneur or course creator looking to level up, these lessons might just resonate with you too. Let’s dive into the transformative business lessons that defined my year and might spark inspiration for your 2025.
If you’re trying to scale without systems, it’s like attempting to run a marathon in flip-flops – it’s not going to end well, pal. This year, systems became my secret weapon.
At Rave Results, we welcomed 87 new members in 2024, and the reason it felt seamless (rather than chaotic) was because of the systems we’d put in place. From onboarding to offboarding and everything in between, we automated the client journey to perfection.
During one of our biggest launches for Sales Spice, we exceeded our enrollment goals by a mile. Without the help of my Online Business Manager (OBM) and our streamlined processes, it could have been overwhelming. Instead, it felt manageable. My advice? If you’re serious about scaling, start with your systems. They’re the backbone of a sustainable business.
Here’s the thing: every offer you create is essentially its own mini-business. It needs branding, messaging, and client care. This year, I embraced simplicity by focusing on just two signature offers.
Why? Because clarity scales. When you focus on fewer offers, you can pour your energy into making them exceptional. For me, it meant creating one core group program to solve my clients’ primary challenges and another to serve their next-level needs. If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, consider narrowing your focus—it’s a game-changer.
There’s one thing I’ve learned for sure: nothing speaks louder than client results. At Rave Results, our clients’ success stories don’t just make me proud – they drive real growth.
If you want to create programs that not only sell but sustain momentum, start with clear, measurable outcomes. Make it obvious what transformation your clients can expect, and then deliver on it. When your clients thrive, your business will naturally follow.
This year, I’ve worked with incredible mentors like Chloe Slade and Kirsten Roldan, and while their insights have been invaluable, maintaining my autonomy has been just as important.
The best coaching relationships are partnerships. Not one-sided lectures. It’s about taking what aligns, debating what doesn’t, and remembering that no one knows your business better than you. Coaches are guides, not gospel.
Here’s a hard truth: not every loud opinion online applies to your business.
This year, I noticed a lot of chatter about group programs and memberships being “dead.” But when I looked closer, it became clear these declarations were more personal than universal. The businesses that said group programs weren’t working for them often lacked the data to back it up—or had a unique issue that didn’t apply broadly.
The lesson? Don’t let someone else’s fears or projections shape your strategy. Look at your own data, trust your intuition, and make decisions based on what works for *you*.
If I had to pick one recurring theme for 2024, it would be this: specificity wins.
The businesses that flourished this year weren’t trying to appeal to everyone. They knew exactly who they were speaking to and how to meet their needs. When you define your ideal client in crystal-clear detail, everything else – your messaging, your offers, your marketing – falls into place.
Confession: I used to be a people pleaser. But this year, I realised it was holding me back.
Not every client is going to adore every aspect of your program, and that’s okay. Your job is to deliver quality and stay true to your vision. Not to twist yourself into knots trying to make everyone happy. When you let go of that pressure, scaling becomes so much easier.
Looking back, 2024 was the year I transitioned from being an experimental entrepreneur to a more confident business leader. The lessons I’ve learned – about systems, focus, leadership, and trust – have laid the foundation for an exciting 2025.
I hope these reflections spark something for you too. What lessons did 2024 bring into your business? Take a moment to reflect and celebrate how far you’ve come. And send me a DM on Instagram if you can, because I’d love to learn from each other!
